Jack Klumpe Negative Collection 1946-1985

The Jack Klumpe Safety Negative Collection documents 41 years (1946-1985) of the history of the greater Cincinnati area and contains approximately 25,000 2.5 x 2.5 inch and 35mm negatives. The collection includes negatives of famous people such as presidents (Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan, Bush), governors (Laushe, Gilligan, Rhodes), sports stars (Ezzard Charles, Johnny Bench) and entertainers (The Beatles, The Monkees). The collection also includes news events such as accidents, and construction, as well coverage of “news spots”. Landmarks such as Crosley Field, Fountain Square, Riverfront Stadium, Union Terminal, and the Cincinnati Zoo are also included.
